Job summary

Ilocatum in Houston, TX is seeking a Grid Code Engineer to support wind power projects across the US and Canada. This senior role combines grid code compliance, electrical pre-design, plant control engineering and commissioning support.

You will work with customers, system operators and internal teams, reviewing interconnection requirements, preparing contract responses and providing technical presentations. Hybrid work, relocation package available.

Qualifications

• Experience with grid integration and interconnection requirements.
• Ability to interpret grid codes and assess plant designs for compliance.
• Strong experience with wind power plant controls.
• Knowledge of NERC, IEC, IEEE, UL standards.
• Experience with PSCAD, TSAT, E-TRAN or PSS/E is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support wind power plant integration with system operators and customers.
• Review contracts and interconnection documents for risks.
• Prepare contract templates and technical presentations.
• Assist Technical Bid Engineers with value engineering.
• Review electrical studies for compliance and optimization.
• Contribute to grid code training and product development.
