ISO New England Inc. is hiring in Windsor, CT for an engineer/analyst to support capacity planning and accreditation initiatives. The role involves simulations with GE MARS, SERVM and PLEXOS, plus stakeholder engagement and regulatory interaction.

A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required, with strong analytical and communication skills. You will join a team focused on reliability and future grid planning, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, OR/energy systems or related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB or SQL and ability to communicate complex analyses.
• Interest in electricity markets, system planning and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform bulk power system simulations using industry tools like GE MARS, SERVM and PLEXOS.
• Lead technical analyses and coordinate work with ISO teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare clear written reports detailing objectives, methods, results and recommendations.
• Support regional and national committees and regulatory discussions as needed.
• Respond to data requests from reliability organizations and regulators.
• Convey complex analyses to diverse technical and non‑technical audiences.
