Job summary

ISO New England Inc. in Windsor, CT is seeking an engineer or analyst to advance capacity planning and accreditation initiatives for capacity reforms.

The role involves technical analyses, study development, and stakeholder engagement across regional and national forums. You will perform bulk power system simulations using GE MARS, SERVM, and PLEXOS, coordinate across ISO, NEPOOL, and regulators, and prepare clear reports detailing objectives, methods, results, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or operations research.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently and communicate technically.
• Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, SQL or similar.
• Interest in electricity markets and system planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform bulk power system simulations using GE MARS, SERVM, and PLEXOS.
• Coordinate and facilitate work across ISO, NEPOOL, and regulators.
• Collaborate on reliability studies and prepare written reports documenting objectives, methods, results, and recommendations.
• Support internal and external regional and national committees and respond to data requests.
• Communicate complex analyses to diverse stakeholder audiences.
