Job summary

Pattern Energy is seeking a curious Grid Integration & Analysis Intern for our Houston office to gain hands-on experience with power system data, modeling, and grid analysis supporting renewable energy development.

You will collaborate with the Grid Integration team to develop databases, run models, and analyze inputs and outputs, while strengthening coding and data analytics skills for future careers in energy analytics and grid planning.

Qualifications

• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, R, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, organize, and quality-control databases and datasets used for grid analyses.
• Assist with power system modeling and analytical activities evaluating transmission systems and grid conditions.
• Prepare, process, and analyze model inputs and outputs.
• Use coding and automation to improve data workflows and modeling efficiency.
• Explore modern coding approaches to enhance internal analytical tools and workflows.
• Research and evaluate grid planning, transmission, and power market information.
• Contribute to other projects and initiatives based on business needs.
