The Greenskeeper position is an entry-level golf course role involving routine manual labor for golf course maintenance. Responsibilities include semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance, operating small hand-powered equipment, raking and shoveling sand bunkers, and potentially caring for specific holes on the course.

Job Overview

The Greenskeeper performs routine manual labor in golf course maintenance, operates small equipment, maintains course features, and assists in construction and renovation projects.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate mowers and trimmers for greens, tees, and around course features.
2. Maintain course amenities like ball washers, flags, debris removal, and turf repair.
3. Manage fuel and fluid levels; report equipment issues.
4. Return and clean equipment after use.
5. Assist in construction and renovation of course features, including soil grading, seeding, and sod laying.
6. Operate light equipment as needed.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of grounds and landscape maintenance methods and materials.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and over 50 pounds with assistance occasionally.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and equipment.

Additional Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record
• Neat appearance and team-oriented attitude
