The Greenskeeper is responsible for providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations, fostering lifelong guests by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and gaining knowledge to assist guests with any needs.

Responsibilities

1. Use various equipment such as walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, and hand tools to maintain golf course grounds and landscaping.
2. Maintain and operate equipment safely and efficiently, treating all equipment with care.
3. Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough; rake bunkers; weed-eat and push mow bunker faces.
4. Set cups and move tee markers.
5. Hand-water greens and tees; assist with irrigation repairs.
6. Perform custodial tasks on golf course grounds and buildings, such as cleaning restrooms, sweeping paths, trash collection, and mopping floors.
7. Report problems immediately to supervisors and respond appropriately to emergencies.
8. Paint and maintain buildings; perform light carpentry as needed.
9. Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and sod; mulch and edge beds; prepare beds for planting; pull weeds; water plantings.
10. Respond to assigned tasks from supervisors or managers.
11. Assist other departments as needed.
12. Attend monthly departmental meetings.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. Valid driver’s license and compliance with company MVR requirements.
3. Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, and use arms/hands for up to 30 minutes per hour.
4. Proficiency in turf/plant fertilization, chainsaw operation, woody plant installation, construction, hardscapes, and skid-steer operation.
