Job summary

Hydrite Chemical USA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the Laurens, SC greenfield facility development from front-end design through start-up. You will coordinate with corporate engineering, construction teams, and contractors to ensure design, schedule and budget alignment and establish reliability foundations for ongoing operations.

Post-startup, you will manage capital projects, drive improvements, and provide engineering support to operations while upholding Hydrite’s Safety Vision and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum eight years of process-engineering and/or project-engineering experience in chemical processing.
• Experience with greenfield projects, plant start-ups, or major expansions preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent reading/writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital projects for the Laurens greenfield facility from design through start-up.
• Partner with corporate engineering, construction teams, and contractors to align scope, schedule and cost.
• Develop site standards, engineering practices, and documentation (P&IDs, specs, procedures).
• Drive commissioning and start-up activities with performance validation.
• Transition to ongoing project engineering and provide site engineering support post-startup.
