Job summary

Hydrite is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the Laurens, SC greenfield facility development from design through startup, then support ongoing capital projects and site reliability. The role includes hands-on leadership across front-end engineering, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up, with a transition to ongoing project engineering after startup.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, have 8+ years in process/ project

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Experience with engineering documentation and standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from design through start-up for Laurens greenfield facility.
• Coordinate with corporate engineering, construction teams, and contractors on scope, schedule, and cost.
• Develop site standards, engineering practices, and related documentation (P&IDs, specs, procedures).
• Drive commissioning and start-up activities and validate performance.
• Provide daily engineering support to operations and troubleshoot process issues.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives and safety programs.
