GE Vernova seeks an EHS Leader to support the launch of a brand-new 600+ person facility in Greenville, SC, as part of the Gas Power Repair Value Stream. You will architect a Safety-by-Design environment and guide the site through construction, transition, and operations with rigorous MOC processes.

The role centers on creating and maintaining the Facility EHS strategy, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards, and driving a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related field or Engineering from an accredited university with 7+ years of experience in EHS + US regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Construction Safety Management: oversee site safety for contractors during construction; conduct safety walks, audits, inspections; review contractor safety plans.
• Strategic Leadership & Site Architecture: design the long-term safety organization; develop site EHS roadmap aligned with GE Vernova standards.
• Operational Readiness & Transition: implement Safety Operating Rhythm for Build, Transition, Run, lead MOC for site transitions.
• Safety-by-Design & Risk Mitigation: lead Process Safety Management collaboration.
• Regulatory & Policy Compliance: manage environmental and safety programs, permitting, reporting, auditing per OSHA/EPA.
• Culture & 5S Excellence: foster 5S culture; integrate AMRT/RDC into safety rhythms.
• Training & Capability: ensure staff are qualified and aligned with safety standards.
• Data-Driven Improvement: manage EHS KPIs and digital platforms; drive proactive risk reduction.
• Stakeholder Influence: lead high-risk projects; communicate for safety-first behaviors across levels.
