Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a production associate to prepare gravy ingredient batches per approved formulas. You will read batching sheets, stage and weigh ingredients, and ensure each bag is inspected for quality and safety.

The role requires accurate record-keeping of lot numbers and supplier details. You will work with the team to maintain a clean, organized workspace, uphold GMP practices, and support the production schedule by keeping batches ahead.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, interpret batching sheets and production documents.
• Must be able to stage ingredients and inspect bags for quality and safety.
• Excellent teamwork and communication within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read batching sheets to determine order and quantity of ingredients.
• Stage ingredients and clean totes for batching.
• Record batch data including lot numbers, supplier, and date codes.
• Inspect each ingredient bag for contamination, damage, or expiry.
• Batch and weigh ingredients, label totes, and maintain staging areas.
• Maintain production schedule to stay 15 batches ahead.
• Maintain clean and orderly gravy room and related areas.
