Grassroots Analytics is a political tech company focused on fundraising for progressive campaigns. The Fundraising Associate will deliver tailored donor lists, strategic fundraising guidance, and high-quality client service to campaigns and causes across the ballot.

Work closely with the Sr. Fundraising Strategist and Revenue Team, attending client events and providing data-driven insights to expand fundraising capabilities and donor outreach.

Qualifications

• Experience in political campaign fundraising (e.g., Finance Assistant, Events Coordinator, or Call Time Manager).
• Experience on a political fundraising/finance team.
• Strong understanding of the political landscape at state/local levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple requests and tight deadlines.
• Interest in progressive causes and supporting diverse campaigns.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) is a political tech company dedicated to breaking down barriers in fundraising for progressive campaigns and causes. To facilitate that work, GA maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active, left-leaning American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information. Our overall mission is to use that data to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.

Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Fundraising Associate (FA) to join our team of experts to provide top-tier, individualized fundraising guidance directly to our clients. The FA will collaborate closely with the Sr. Fundraising Strategist and broader Revenue Team to offer campaigns highly-targeted donor lists, comprehensive fundraising instruction, and industry-leading customer service. This role is ideal for someone passionate about political strategy, relationship building, and empowering progressive campaigns and organizations up and down the ballot.

Responsibilities

Data Querying & Donor List Building

• Master the ins and outs of Grassroots’ donor database and targeting capabilities.
• Build personalized donor lists for clients based on their profile (type of race, pertinent biographical info, demographics, top issues, etc.).
• Execute for clients the data services included in our comprehensive “data + strategy” package.
• Provide data targeting recommendations to other members of the Grassroots team.

Fundraising Guidance to Campaigns

• Hold introductory calls for clients.
• Act as a thought partner to clients; provide strategic advice and collaborate to discover new prospects.
• Engage generously and effectively with consultants, firms, and vendor partners, with progressive success as a shared priority.
• Attend on-the-ground embeds with clients at their respective headquarters (usually around large fundraising events).

Additional Projects

• Other duties as assigned.
• Attend internal team building events (annual retreat, happy hours, professional development sessions, etc.) .

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Fundraising Associate position will:

• Have experience in political campaign fundraising (ideally as a Finance Assistant, Events Coordinator, or Call Time Manager).
• Have experience being a part of a political fundraising/finance team.
• Possess an adept understanding of the political landscape, particularly at the state and local levels.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Be highly organized, capable of managing multiple requests.
• Prove an ability to turn work around diligently and efficiently; able to meet tight deadlines.
• Have an interest in progressive causes and a desire to support candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. This role also comes with a competitive benefits package, including the potential for biannual profit sharing bonuses and company equity.
