Responsibilities
Achieve a zero‑work place injury and incident record by maintaining a clean and organized work place using Lean manufacturing and 5‑S techniques. Comply with all customer safety requirements including attendance in monthly safety training and wearing personal protective equipment. Maintain proper inventory levels to support customer press schedules while also supporting the group days‑on‑hand inventory targets. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for weighing up, dispensing and blending inks to meet customer color and overall QC standards/specifications. Perform color matching and maintain customer formulation files. Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials and perform appropriate record‑keeping functions. Coordinate scheduling of work and assignments for all GTC personnel to ensure ink press is maintained and serviced, while aligning with overtime cost reductions.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot customer press/ink related issues.
Document and communicate technical issues to Flint Group Technical Service Representative.
Maintain an action register on customer/ink room process improvements.
Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing and quality control records to meet production dates per customer’s schedule, including ink adjustments at press, press downtime documents, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Fill in as needed to cover Graphic Technician responsibilities.
Maintain Graphic Technician performance records, approve ADP time‑cards and recommend promotion and compensation increases for direct reports.
