Job summary

Flint Group is seeking an Ink Technician in Modesto, CA to safely prepare and deliver press-ready inks for production. You will support production with ink adjustments, perform color control using X-Rite, and maintain quality and downtime records while upholding safety and Lean/5S standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE; participate in safety training.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S.
• Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules.
• Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment.
• Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records.
• Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production.
• Manage ink inventory levels and minimize excess.
• Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ink Technician is responsible for safely performing all aspects of ink preparation and support to ensure the successful operation of the customer's production environment. This role supports customer performance by delivering high-quality, press-ready inks while adhering to Flint Group's corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.
