Job summary

Flint Group is seeking an Ink Technician to safely prepare and support ink production for customer environments. You will deliver press-ready inks while upholding safety policies, Lean/5S standards, and Flint Group's quality values.

Responsibilities include weighing, blending, color checks with X-Rite, inventory management, and collaboration with press operators to optimize production efficiency. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or related production environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

  • Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks.
  • Perform quality checks using color control equipment like X-Rite.
  • Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain production, quality, and downtime records.
  • Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations.
  • Manage ink inventory and minimize excess.
  • Follow work-off ink processes to reduce waste.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ink Technician is responsible for safely performing all aspects of ink preparation and support to ensure the successful operation of the customer's production environment. This role supports customer performance by delivering high-quality, press-ready inks while adhering to Flint Group's corporate policies, safety standards, and core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE
