Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Morristown, NJ seeks a Sponsored Projects Analyst III to partner with the Government and Research Grants team. You will oversee government and private grant proposals for completeness, ensure compliance, and support submission to secure external funding.

You will interpret sponsor guidelines, coordinate pre-award activities, train new teams, liaise with Compliance, Legal, and Accounting, monitor budgets, and provide post-award guidance across a portfolio of awards.

Qualifications

• Manages government and private grant activities with attention to sponsor guidelines and compliance.
• Communicates with PI/PD and cross-functional teams to facilitate grant submissions.
• Provides training and guidance to project teams on the grant lifecycle and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Primary POC for government and private grant support, including RFP review, roadmap activation, and approval workflow.
• Acts as a trainer to new project teams during the grant lifecycle.
• Guides complex proposals with multiple collaborators and ensures timely submissions.
• Identifies online resources and resolves non-compliance issues during proposal preparation.
• Liaises with Compliance, Legal, Accounting and IRB to align grant activities with policies.
• Provides post-award administration, interprets award terms and sponsor requirements for project teams.
• Monitors grant award budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
• Supports budget modifications and award actions across grants.
• Collaborates with Finance and Accounting within Atlantic Health.
• Handles inquiries about agency systems/portals (e.g., eRA Commons, Grants.gov, SAM.gov, ProposalCentral).
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.
• Maintains sub-recipient monitoring forms and risk assessment for federal sub-awards.
• Keeps grant awards and pending awards database updated by year.
