Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks a Sponsored Program Administrator I to manage the full lifecycle of sponsored research projects at USU Neurology in Bethesda, MD.

You will lead proposal development, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with faculty, departments, and sponsors to negotiate and administer grants and contracts. You will oversee budgets, reporting, subawards, and subcontracts, work with Accounts Payable, and serve as the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience.
• In-depth knowledge of federal budget processes and project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare grant proposals including budgets and PI biosketches; manage submission process.
• Develop proposals in response to RFPs; coordinate with pre-award team for sponsor submission.
• Oversee financial and non-financial administration of funded projects with budget tracking and reporting.
• Manage budgets to ensure spending is on budget and resolve financial issues.
• Process payments to Accounts Payable and ensure proper use of funds.
• Serve as primary liaison between Principal Investigators, sponsors, and stakeholders.
