Job summary

Volunteers of America Oregon seeks a Grants Coordinator to join our Development team to secure and sustain funding for programs serving individuals, families, and communities across Oregon.

You’ll collaborate with the Grants Manager, program leaders, Finance, and Development staff to coordinate proposals, reporting, and donor stewardship while translating outcomes into compelling funding narratives. Occasional site visits and cross‑department coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of nonprofit fundraising, grant coordination, or grants management.
• Experience writing, preparing, and formatting grant proposals and related documents.
• Experience with grant management systems and portals.

Responsibilities

• Research government, foundation, and corporate funding opportunities that align with VOA Oregon’s priorities.
• Draft and coordinate grant proposals, narratives, and supporting documents for timely submissions.
• Gather program information, budgets, outcomes, and documentation for proposals and reports.
• Track deadlines, post‑award requirements, and reporting deliverables; communicate concerns to staff.
• Support grant reporting by compiling quantitative and qualitative outcomes.
• Maintain accurate grant records and funding information in the database.
• Assist with funder engagement, site visits, and relationship records.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure grant readiness and coordination.
