Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks an Assistant Director in the Education Department to oversee externally funded programs, grants, and workforce initiatives, reporting to the Director of Education. This role supervises staff supporting credentialing, grants, and funded initiatives, ensuring compliance and effective administration.

Responsibilities include managing grant and contract requirements, financial administration, data management, and coordination with college offices to expand funding

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, higher education, business administration, public administration, organizational leadership, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Progressive professional experience in higher education, education administration, workforce development, grant administration, or a related field; supervision experience preferred.
• Experience administering externally funded programs, grants, or contracts; financial administration, reporting, and compliance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer externally funded Education Department programs, grants, contracts, and workforce initiatives.
• Oversee funded-student lifecycle including eligibility, documentation, enrollment, and compliance with funder requirements.
• Manage grant and contract requirements, amendments, deliverables, timelines, and required reporting.
• Oversee financial administration: invoicing, expenditure tracking, reconciliation, and budgeting.
• Maintain accurate program records across Workday and funding systems for reliable data.
