Job summary

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) is seeking a Grants Program Manager to promote consistent grant administration and stewardship of grant resources. The role coordinates agency-wide grant management across Federal, State, and other programs and serves as a technical resource for Grant Project Managers, the Business Office, and agency leadership.

Key responsibilities include coordinating the full grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and supporting audits and reporting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State grant administration requirements and experience coordinating grants through lifecycle.
• Experience interpreting grant award documents, funding requirements, regulations, and financial information for program managers and leadership.
• Experience coordinating Federal or State grant audits/monitoring and tracking corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate agency-wide grants administration throughout the grant lifecycle (opportunity identification, application, award, monitoring, reporting, closeout).
• Serve as primary grant-administration liaison and provide guidance on requirements, deadlines, documentation, and compliance.
• Monitor grant awards for compliance, maintain tracking tools, and flag underutilization, budget issues, or other matters.
• Coordinate federal/state grant audits/monitoring, organize responses, track findings, and follow up until resolution.
• Research and evaluate grant opportunities and coordinate preparation/submission of applications using JustGrants/ASAP.
• Communicate financial information and ensure segregation of accounting/financial responsibilities across functional areas.
