Job summary

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a Grants Program Manager to lead development, administration, and compliance of our grant portfolio. You will identify funding opportunities, write proposals, and collaborate with leaders to support innovative healthcare initiatives.

The role oversees the complete grant lifecycle from proposal to closeout, ensuring reporting deadlines and regulatory compliance are met. A strategic, organized professional will thrive in this capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Health, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
• Three to five years of experience managing and/or writing federal, state, and private foundation grants.
• Experience with grant compliance, reporting, and post-award administration.
• Strong grant writing, project management, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of federal grant requirements, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) preferred.
• Experience with Grants.gov, SAM.gov, or other grant management systems is preferred.
• Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), or willingness to obtain, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and pursue federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities that align with Boone Memorial Health's mission and strategic priorities.
• Manage the complete grant lifecycle, including proposal development, award administration, compliance, reporting, and closeout.
• Prepare compelling grant applications, narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with department leaders, Finance, and external partners to ensure grant requirements, reporting deadlines, and project deliverables are met.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, and compliance with applicable regulations and funding requirements.
• Maintain organized grant records, tracking systems, and reporting calendars.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Boone Memorial Health, funding agencies, and external grant consultants.
• Develop and improve grant administration processes and internal controls.
