Job summary

The City of Atlanta is seeking an analyst for Grants and Community Development responsibilities, overseeing federally funded contracts and reporting. The role includes data analysis, budget tracking, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure compliance and effective project delivery.

Hybrid work schedule with in-person presence at City worksites most of the week, plus remote work options as approved. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of organizational, financial, and operational analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver summaries on planning and budgeting.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 1 year experience.
  • BA Certification, BRMP Certification, CBRM Certification.
  • Preferred: Master's in Management, Business, or Public Administration; 1–3 years supervisory/analytical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs specialized analyses of department operations, processes, productivity, and effectiveness.
  • Maintains ongoing reporting and analysis systems for indicators and trends.
  • Develops reports on external trends for strategic planning and budget development.
  • Participates in cross-organization teams to improve processes.
  • Manages Hansen system tasks and Oracle reporting on balances and expenditures.
  • Coordinates NOFA/evaluation and reviews environmental requirements.
