Job summary

The State of North Carolina DHHS seeks a Business Officer I to manage a portfolio of funding streams, including state, federal and special appropriations. The role coordinates across Program, Budget/Finance and Contracts to ensure funding alignment with program goals and operations.

Responsibilities include planning, implementation and monitoring of funds, with preferred experience in 2CFR200, performance-based contracts and NCCM certification; position is 100% funded through federal funds where

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related discipline.
• Two years of progressive related experience, one year in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience allowed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational owner for multiple funding streams and ensure alignment between program intent, funding requirements and operations.
• Coordinate across Program, Budget/Finance and Contracts to plan, implement and monitor funding.
• Bridge departments to ensure funding is executed effectively.
