The Salvation Army is seeking a Grants Manager for the Delaware State Office in Wilmington. The role manages the full lifecycle of grants, emphasizing research, proposal development, post-award compliance, and reporting to meet funder requirements and internal controls.

The successful candidate will coordinate with program, finance and leadership, ensuring timely submissions and a strong documentation trail. Availability is immediate and the position is full-time, 32 hours per week.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required (fields such as nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or related areas preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in grant writing and grants management, preferably in a nonprofit
• Demonstrated experience with state and/or federal grants, including post‑award
• Familiarity with federal grant systems (e.g., JustGrants) strongly
• Strong writing, organizational, and project management
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); Adobe Acrobat
• Strong understanding of grant compliance and reporting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with program, finance, and leadership
• Ability to interpret funder guidelines and translate them into actionable
• Excellent written communication and document management

Responsabilidades

• Grant Research and Prospecting: research funding opportunities and assess eligibility.
• Pre-Award Grant Development: write narratives and coordinate budgets.
• Post-Award Grant Management and Compliance: manage grants and reporting calendars.
• Grant Documentation and Coordination: maintain files and communications.
• Meet regularly with leadership to review status and deadlines.
• Serves as a member of the State Advisory Board Development Committee
