Job summary

The Salvation Army of Dane County is seeking a Grant Manager to lead research, writing, and management of public, private, and foundation funding sources in partnership with Social Services and the Development team.

Responsibilities include developing a grant management system, ensuring program reporting and compliance, and coordinating with government agencies, foundations, corporations, and donors to protect existing funds and identify new sources of support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in government funding or equivalent.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with clearance to drive.

Responsibilities

• Acts as local public funds and contracts manager; researches, develops, writes, submits, and administers grants from multiple sources.
• Develops and maintains a grant management system to track opportunities, deadlines, awards, compliance, and outcomes.
• Collaborates with Social Services and Development teams to align grants with program priorities and reporting needs.
• Ensures compliance with grant regulations; oversees program proposals, reporting, and staff education on grant expectations.
• Cultivates relationships with funding entities to protect funds and identify new sources of revenue.
