Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Grants and Contracts Manager to research funding opportunities, develop proposals, and manage grant submissions. The role requires strong grant writing, project management, and stakeholder communication; travel within New Jersey and beyond may be required; proficiency with Salesforce and Office 365 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and submitting funding proposals.
• Strong research and data analysis to identify funder opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and proposals.
• Proficiency in grant management systems and databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and assemble funding applications for new and existing grants.
• Act as primary grant manager on contracts and awards, ensuring deliverables meet funder expectations.
• Liaise with funders to maintain positive relations and data flow.
• Plan strategies to secure new grants and renew contracts.
• Analyze service data and research funding sources to meet needs.
• Enter and maintain funding contracts in Salesforce, Instrumentl, and contract databases.
• Attend Agency meetings and manage relationships with Grantor.
• Coordinate funder communications and on-site visit logistics.
• Write and coordinate multi-Corps grant applications.
• Collaborate with Corps, Human Services, and Finance to ensure compliance and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
