Job summary

UrbanGlass, a leading nonprofit arts organization, seeks a Grants Manager to expand institutional and public funding through research, proposal writing, and reporting. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Development team to craft compelling materials for foundations, corporations, and government entities.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a cultural organization or similar entity, including writing and interfacing with stakeholders/public
• Excellent research, writing, editing/proofreading, and communication skills; ability to translate ideas into cogent prose
• Strong project management skills and ability to deliver results in a small organization with limited resources
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce
• Interest in arts and Brooklyn knowledge preferred
• College degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates, writes, reviews, and edits grant proposals and reports
• Supports government grant writing, reporting, contracting, and compliance with public funding sources (e.g., DCLA, NYSCA)
• Conducts prospect research on potential funding sources and tracks steps from initial approach through acknowledgement
• Maintains knowledge of landscape for grants and collaborates with internal departments on proposal development
• Prepares and processes letters, budgets, and other grants-related materials
• Maintains grants tracking calendar/Salesforce database and files
• Leads outreach to prospective corporate sponsors and in-kind donors
• Ensures colleagues are aware of coming deadlines and related tasks
• Takes on other duties as needed
