Job summary

Guidehouse, based in Arlington, VA, seeks a Grants Management Consultant to help public-sector clients design, launch, and sustain programs under 2 CFR 200. You’ll translate policy into executable, audit-defensible operations and lead initiatives across the grants lifecycle with data-driven insights and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of ONE (1+) year of overall work experience for a consultant.
• Minimum of THREE (3+) years overall work experience for a senior consultant.
• Experience in grants management for a senior consultant.
• Strong understanding and expertise around Uniform Guidance – 2 CFR 200, including Single Audit requirements, and its application to different types of financial assistance to be considered for Senior Consultant level.
• Ability to quickly understand ongoing processes to develop and implement process improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into tangible documents and/or deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Advanced proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite, including MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with state and local government clients to establish or enhance grants management processes and procedures across the entire grants lifecycle
• Help to identify and proactively address client needs by presenting potential solutions to challenges or issues
• Participate in client discussions and meetings
• Effectively and concisely communicate and present information to clients and leadership
• Develop agendas, meeting materials, and talking points in preparation for meetings
• Develop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key objectives and facilitate discussion across multiple stakeholders
• Develop and ensure quality deliverables
• Participate in business development activities
• General project/task management
• Participate in internal and external grants management-related training, knowledge management, and thought leadership activities
