Job summary

Rural Health Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Grants Writer/Manager to identify, develop, and manage grant opportunities that support our FQHC mission across northeastern North Carolina.

Based in Roanoke Rapids, this full-time role collaborates with leadership and program teams to craft compelling proposals, develop budgets, ensure compliance, and monitor funded projects from concept through closeout.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in English, Communications, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional grant writing and/or grant management experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience writing successful grant proposals and managing multiple grants with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, concept papers, applications, and renewals.
  • Translate organizational needs, programs, outcomes, and community impact into compelling funding narratives.
  • Coordinate proposal development across departments and ensure timely information collection.
  • Develop project descriptions, needs statements, goals, objectives, and work plans.
  • Collect and incorporate community health, patient, demographic, clinical, quality, and program data.
