Caring Connection MI is seeking a Senior Accounting Coordinator to manage grant billings, reimbursements, and financial reporting. The role analyzes general ledger data against grant budgets and ensures accurate revenue posting, procurement oversight, and policy compliance.

The position requires strong Excel skills, nonprofit accounting experience, and the ability to coordinate with CFO and program staff to maintain meticulous financial records.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and invoicing methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel with pivot tables.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience with government accounting liaison.
• Non-profit fund accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare grant-related program billings and reimbursement requests.
• Extract financial information from the general ledger and compare to budgets.
• Oversee purchasing/procurement and ensure expenditures align with budgets.
• Prepare monthly and annual cost and reimbursement reports.
• Support program staff with budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Maintain grant and contract documentation and records.
• Communicate billing information to CFO and Program Directors.
