Job summary

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks a Financial Program Assistant in the Office of International Programs to provide financial support for CEGFSD, NextGen, and related projects. This twelve-month, grant-funded role collaborates with SANS Fiscal Affairs Office and OSPR to manage financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, processing travel reimbursements, and generating reports while maintaining accurate accounts payable filing and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
• One (1) year of professional secretarial, clerical, or administrative experience.
• Knowledge of Workday Enterprise and grants experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and ability to manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial oversight for CEGFSD, NextGen, and related programs.
• Manage OIP-led programs’ financial operations, including execution of the subaward agreements.
• Work closely with SANS Fiscal Affairs Office, UMES OSPR, partner institutions’ sponsored programs offices, and other departments.
• Create purchase orders and execute professional service providers’ agreements.
• Process travel reimbursements and monitor outstanding checks monthly.
• Assist researchers and staff in resolving grant account issues.
• Maintain inventory of forms related to research and university accounts.
• Generate financial reports for OIP-led programs’ accounts and subawards.
