Job summary

The University of Maryland's Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) is seeking a Financial Services Coordinator to support financial, business, procurement, and sponsored research operations. The role reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and collaborates with Principal Investigators, CGS leadership, sponsors, and university offices.

Excellence in organization and service is essential to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work with Principal Investigators to prepare proposal budgets.
• Route proposals through Kuali Research for review and approval.
• Support timely and accurate proposal submission with ORA.
• Track proposal status and respond to questions from sponsors and stakeholders.
• Assist with IDC/IP waiver requests and subaward setup.
• Monitor sponsored project expenses and align with budgets and terms.
• Support invoicing, financial reporting, and award closeout.
• Maintain documentation for transactions and correspondence.
• Process accounting transactions and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and budget summaries for leadership.
