Job summary

Sussex County Public Schools seeks a Federal Programs Specialist to lead development, implementation, and monitoring of federal grant programs. The role supports Title I, II, III, IV, V, Perkins, VTSS, and other grants to enhance student programs, reporting, and compliance.

Working in the finance department, the Specialist will oversee budgets, applications, and evaluations while collaborating with principals and instructional leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Educational Leadership, or a related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience with public school division Title Grants required.
• Experience with federal programs, grant administration, educational leadership, or related areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the administration of all assigned federal grant programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Develop, submit, and monitor federal grant applications and amendments.
• Maintain required documentation and records for federal programs and grants.
• Collaborate with various departments to develop, manage, and monitor federal program budgets.
• Analyze student achievement, attendance, graduation, and other performance data to determine program effectiveness.
• Provide technical assistance and training to principals, teachers, and staff regarding federal program requirements.
