UCLA Health is seeking a full-time Accountant to join the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior’s Office of Finance to manage philanthropic, endowment, and gift-funded programs advancing research, education, and clinical initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing funds, reconciling ledgers, producing monthly reports, monitoring balances, and coordinating with campus offices. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/related field, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/finance-related field.
• GAAP knowledge and financial accounting practices.
• Experience preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Attention to detail in reviewing financial transactions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with faculty, staff, vendors, and campus partners.

Responsabilidades

• Manage financial activity for foundation, endowment, gift, and other designated funds.
• Review and process expenditures, transfers, interdepartmental transactions, deposits, and procurement requests.
• Reconcile ledgers and analyze account activity for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and year-end documentation.
• Monitor fund balances and projections to prevent overdrafts.
• Process gift-related transactions and coordinate with campus offices on donor contributions.
• Assist with budget development, financial data collection, and special projects.
• Serve as a resource to faculty and staff regarding account status and funding utilization.
