Job summary

AncoraTN seeks an Annual Giving & Grants Manager to advance fundraising through institutional funding and donor engagement. You will lead AncoraTN's grants program, coordinating prospect research, proposals, reporting, and compliance, while also cultivating a select donor portfolio.

Approximately 75% of the role focuses on grants and institutional funding, with the remaining 25% dedicated to individual giving.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, English, public administration, business, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, foundation relations, or development.
Demonstrated success researching, writing, and securing competitive grant proposals.
Experience managing grant reporting, compliance, and post-award stewardship.
Experience coordinating multiple grant deadlines and managing a grant calendar.
Strong understanding of private, corporate, community, and institutional grantmaking.
Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working with donor databases/CRMs and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with funders, donors, or other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage AncoraTN's grants program.
Research and qualify prospective private, corporate, community, state, federal, and other institutional funding opportunities.
Develop, write, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, applications, renewals, and supporting materials.
Maintain the annual grants calendar and ensure proposals, renewals, reports, and other funder requirements are completed on time.
Prepare grant reports and coordinate collection of program outcomes, financial information, and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with Finance on grant budgets, expenditures, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Support compliance and reporting requirements for government funding.
Cultivate and steward relationships with assigned institutional funders through regular communication, meetings, updates, and site visits.
Maintain records of proposals, awards, restrictions, reporting requirements, funding history, and funder communications.
Monitor existing grants for renewal opportunities and develop renewal strategies.
Maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective institutional funding opportunities.
Evaluate opportunities for mission alignment, capacity, funding potential, and reporting requirements.
Provide regular grant pipeline, funding forecast, and reporting updates to the Chief Development & Marketing Officer.
Work with program leadership to understand needs, outcomes, and funding opportunities.
