Job summary

Minnesota PBS is seeking a Development Officer to manage a funder portfolio and secure operating and project funding. The role emphasizes prospect research, LOI and proposal writing, and cross-team collaboration to align funder priorities with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in development, proven grant-seeking success, and strong CRM experience, with a commitment to IDEA priorities and occasional travel within the metro area.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of development experience.
• 2-4 years of demonstrated success in foundation, corporate, and/or government grant-seeking.
• 2-4 years of prospect research experience.
• 2-4 years of experience using a CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, manage, solicit and steward a portfolio of funders for general operating and project support.
• Conduct prospect research to identify and vet funders for general operating and project support.
• Work with teams to build out project concepts and budgets that support organizational strategies and funder priorities.
• Write LOIs and proposals to secure funding.
• Track communications with funders and solicitations in shared tools.
• Contribute to department revenue goals.
• Develop funder engagement strategies and manage funder recognition.
