Job summary

The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department is seeking a data-forward analyst to support reporting and forecasting for diverse funding sources. You will manage master map portfolios, ensure data consistency, and build dashboards that visualize program costs and personnel expenditures.

Required are a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of analytical experience, with strong Excel and Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Three years of professional administrative, financial or analytical experience.

Responsibilities

• Compile and manage master map portfolios supporting data interoperability and funding sources.
• Investigate discrepancies in master maps and improve data consistency across reports.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, accessible, and aligned with program requirements.
• Oversee data source refreshes to keep dashboards current.
• Prepare and maintain procedure manuals for the reporting team.
• Respond to inquiries and ad hoc analytics requests.
• Represent supervisor in meetings to present findings.
