Job summary

Vital Strategies seeks a Director, Grants and Contracts Operations to lead the operational backbone of its G&C function. The role oversees policies, procurement, systems, data, reporting, and training while driving continuous improvement. You will manage senior staff and partner across Finance, Legal, Programs and IT.

The position is based in New York with a hybrid schedule (2 days in office). Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered, with eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years in grants, contracts, procurement, or related operations.
• Experience leading multi-country or global grants & contracts operations.
• Proven ability to design and implement policies, processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Grants & Contracts policies, procedures, tools and practices.
• Oversee procurement policies, templates, thresholds, and controls.
• Drive strategy, governance and improvements of G&C systems and data quality.
• Develop dashboards and BI capabilities for portfolio performance and risk.
• Lead training and capacity-building for G&C staff across the organization.
• Manage G&C Operations Manager and Business Intelligence Analyst.
