Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a full-time Grants and Contracts Officer. The GCO will manage pre and post-award and research accounting activities for the life cycle of awards, ensuring compliance with cost sharing, EHS, IRB and ACUC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of work experience in pre-award, post award and grants management in a sponsored research administration setting at a higher education institution.
• GAAP knowledge and related regulations for research administration.
• Familiarity with Grants.gov and InfoEd; knowledge of major funding agencies (NIH, HRSA, NSF, DOD, NASA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to faculty and departmental administrators during the lifecycle of an award and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Respond to inquiries from investigators, administrators and funding agencies.
• Support investigators in proposal review and submission and sponsor communications.
• Identify funding opportunities and assist with proposal information in Grants.gov and SPINPlus.
• Assist with electronic submission of proposals via Grants.gov and InfoEd.
