Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Grants and Contracts Office (GCO) seeks a Grants Analyst I to support investigators in submitting competitive, compliant funding proposals. You will review, submit, negotiate and manage incoming grants and contracts, while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective collaboration with researchers and sponsors.

Responsibilities include pre-award activities, advising investigators, and coordinating with MCW stakeholders on team projects.

Qualifications

• Pre-award research support requires strong organizational skills and persistence.
• Solid knowledge of federal regulations (NIH and OMB) and ability to interpret policies.
• Proven ability to maintain balance between sponsor and internal personnel.
• Ability to maintain confidences in a deadline-driven environment with teamwork.
• Strong customer service mindset and initiative in addressing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the GCO point of contact for a specified book of business within MCW.
• Interpret and communicate policies to ensure sponsor and institutional compliance.
• Review grant applications and prepare submissions to sponsors and agencies.
• Serve as MCW liaison with sponsoring agencies.
• Perform pre-award and non-financial post-award activities for various grants.
• Assist in NIH Just-in-Time materials and eRA Commons submissions.
• Review and approve subcontracts and pass-through awards issued to MCW.
• Negotiate terms of grant and contract awards and accept awards.
• Assist in testing eBridge upgrades and related issues.
• Collaborate with other GCO analysts and stakeholders on team projects.
