Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh Med-Pharmacology and Chemical Biology department seeks a Grants & Contracts Specialist IV to manage pre- and post-award accounting for highly complex grants and contracts.

You will prepare, negotiate, and monitor grants, contracts, subcontracts, and budgets; analyze financials, perform internal audits, and ensure compliance with sponsor terms and federal regulations.

Work is Hybrid: combination of on-campus and remote work as determined by the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in grants and contracts accounting.
• Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/ or experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, negotiates, and monitors very complex grants, contracts, subcontracts, and budgets.
• Performs pre- and post-award accounting duties for very complex grants and contracts; oversees invoices, cost analyses, sub-awards, and budget modifications.
• Serves as liaison between internal and external stakeholders including federal and public accounting agencies and firms.
