Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Grants & Contracts Manager to serve as the dedicated financial management resource for the Metabolism and Lipids Program, overseeing industry-sponsored trials, ARO agreements, and investigator-initiated studies within a large academic medical center.

You will partner with program leadership to prepare budgets, funding strategies, staffing projections, and financial plans, manage CTMS workflows in OnCore, review contracts and expenditures, ensure compliance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred in related field.
• 5 years of progressive grants & contracts administration experience in academic medical center, research institution, or healthcare.
• Experience managing industry-sponsored clinical trial agreements and budgets.
• Experience with pre-award and post-award sponsored research administration.
• Experience with ARO agreements and multicenter studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the administration, financial oversight, growth, and compliance of the Metabolism and Lipids Program research portfolio.
• Develops research budgets, funding strategies, staffing projections, and financial plans.
• Assists in budgeting for industry-sponsored clinical trials, AROs, federal grants, and other sponsored projects.
• Serves as the primary Program resource for budgeting and CTMS workflows (OnCore).
• Maintains investigator biosketches, effort commitments, regulatory approvals, and proposal materials.
• Reviews grant proposals, clinical trial agreements, and expenditures for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensures submissions pass regulatory and institutional committees.
• Collaborates with FACTS on development, negotiation, activation, and closeout of industry-sponsored agreements.
• Monitors sponsor invoicing, revenue reconciliation, and billing issues.
• Coordinates budget updates for protocol amendments and enrollment changes.
• Oversees administrative and financial aspects of ARO agreements and multicenter collaborations.
• Analyzes monthly grant activity and provides forecasts and reports to leadership.
• Assists investigators in identifying funding opportunities.
• Develops SOPs, tracking mechanisms, and reporting tools.
• Partners with operations to align grants administration with study operations.
