Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to oversee research projects within a department, assisting the Principal Investigator in preparing and negotiating clinical trials, patient eligibility, and budgets, with potential involvement in staffing and HR activities.

Responsibilities include developing care standards with the health care team, coordinating care delivery, collaborating on program development, ensuring timely communication, and supporting risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sciences or related field required.
• Minimum 5+ years in hospital/medical environment with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates standards of care of professional practice in collaboration with health care team and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates care delivery and staff assignment based on patient needs and clinical competency.
• Collaborates on program development, consultation, planning and delivery of unit operations.
• Facilitates timely and proactive communication and responsible decision making.
• May arrange for human resources and materials to support research projects.
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities per policies and protocols.
• May participate in identifying and responding to risk management issues.
• May be responsible for HR activity including recruitment, hiring, evaluating, retention, discipline and termination.
• Promotes positive consumer interactions and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights.
• Develops and maintains systems to support efficient functioning of designated clinical areas.
• Performs other related duties.
