Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Grants Compliance Manager in Largo, MD to own the full grant lifecycle, including budgeting, award review, billing, reporting, and closeout. The role emphasizes strong compliance with federal requirements and collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of grants management, accounting, or compliance.
• Federal/government grant experience required.
• Experience with grant billing, reimbursements, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of budgets, allowable costs, and financial controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal, state, local, and foundation grants including post-award administration and compliance.
• Handle grant billing, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and financial reporting.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, funding restrictions, and reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations, 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
• Maintain internal controls, documentation, and audit-ready grant records.
• Partner with Finance, program leadership, and funding agencies to resolve grant-related issues.
• Help improve grant management processes, reporting, and financial controls.

Grants Compliance Manager

Salary: $80,000–$100,000

Location: Largo, MD

Office Situation: Onsite for the first 3 months, transitioning to hybrid (3–4 days onsite per week).

What You’ll Be Doing:

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of experience in grants management, grant accounting, or grants compliance.
• Federal/government grant experience required, including financial administration and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with grant billing, reimbursements/drawdowns, and grant financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, grant budgets, allowable costs, and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP or grant management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
