CFS in Largo, MD is seeking a Grants Compliance Manager to own our growing grants portfolio, oversee post-award administration, ensure compliance with federal regulations, and coordinate with Finance and program leadership.

This onsite role transitions to hybrid after three months, with a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, 401(k), PTO, and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of grants management or related experience.
• Federal/government grant experience with financial administration.
• Experience with grant billing, reimbursements and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP or grant systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Manage federal, state, local, and foundation grants and compliance.
• Handle grant billing, reimbursements, drawdowns, and reporting.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
• Maintain audit-ready grant records and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, programs, and agencies to resolve issues.
• Improve grant management processes and controls.

Office Situation: Onsite for the first 3 months, transitioning to hybrid (3–4 days onsite per week).

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage federal, state, local, and foundation grants, including post-award administration and compliance.
• Handle grant billing, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and financial reporting.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, funding restrictions, and reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations, including 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance).
• Maintain internal controls, accurate documentation, and audit-ready grant records.
• Partner with Finance, program leadership, and funding agencies to resolve grant-related issues.
• Help improve grant management processes, reporting, and financial controls.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in grants management, grant accounting, or grants compliance.
• Federal/government grant experience required, including financial administration and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with grant billing, reimbursements/drawdowns, and grant financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, grant budgets, allowable costs, and financial controls.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP or grant management systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
