Job summary

SAVE is seeking a Finance and Grants Specialist to oversee the financial management and compliance of government-funded grants in Fremont, CA. You will manage budgets, invoicing, and donor reporting while ensuring adherence to OMB Uniform Guidance and funder requirements.

Work closely with program leadership, development, and external partners to support audits and grant accounting. Ideal candidates have a bachelor's in a related field and at least five years in federal grants management, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in nonprofit governance, administration, grants management, or compliance.
Minimum 5 years of federal grant management experience, including procurement and subrecipient monitoring.
Experience with government grant budgeting, invoicing, and reimbursement-based funding.
Knowledge of nonprofit operations and federal/state grant funding mechanisms.
Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance and grant compliance requirements.
Strong data management, statistical analysis, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with accounting/financial systems (QuickBooks, BILL.com) and BambooHR; Excel/Word skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee grant budgets, invoicing, and reimbursements to support cash flow.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant requirements and OMB guidance.
Monitor subrecipients and coordinate audits and grant reporting.
Collaborate with Program, Development, and Operations teams on grant expenditures.
Manage day-to-day accounting including payroll allocations and timekeeping.
