Job summary

The Grants and Community Outreach Program Manager at UAH College of Nursing provides comprehensive support for externally funded projects and community engagement initiatives. This position coordinates pre-award and post-award grant activities, supports faculty investigators, and oversees program reporting and administrative functions to advance research, service, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, education, social sciences, or related field, or combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of full-time verifiable work experience in program coordination, grant administration, project management, community outreach, or related area.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data tracking systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain community partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Grant Management and Research Support: support proposal submission, gather biosketches, budgets, and sponsor documents.
• Pre-Award Grant Support: maintain submission schedules and coordinate communications among investigators and offices.
• Post-Award Grant Support: assist with awarded grants, monitor timelines and reporting requirements.
• Neighborhood Nursing Program Operations: manage daily operations, calendars, and volunteer coordination.
• Community Partnerships and Outreach: build relationships with community orgs and coordinate outreach events.
• Data Management, Reporting, and Resource Coordination: track activities and prepare routine reports and dashboards.
