Artheon in Albany, NY is seeking a Community Development Specialist to manage grants from local, state and federal sources. You will write and administer grants, coordinate with municipal clients, and ensure deadlines are met.

The role requires strong technical writing, excellent communication, and proficiency in MS Office. A bachelor’s degree in planning and at least three years of grant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field.
• Minimum three years coordinating grant activities.
• Strong technical writing and computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with grant programs such as CDBG, USDA, HOME, LWRP, WQIP, ESD preferred.

Responsabilités

• Research outside grant opportunities and track opportunities.
• Write and develop grant applications.
• Communicate grant requirements to clients.
• Maintain a grant tracking system.
• Coordinate with agencies and departments on grant applications.
• Prepare reimbursement documentation.
• Study programs and funding requirements of the organization.
• Multitask and manage time effectively.
• Administer grants and loans.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
