Job summary

Artheon is seeking an entry-level Community Development Intern to join its Community Development Department in Albany, NY. Qualifications

• Strong technical writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team and with clients.
• Interest in municipal government, community development, grants, or public-sector programs.
• Previous coursework, internship experience, or exposure to grant writing/administration is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Researching state, federal, and other grant and funding opportunities.
• Reviewing and summarizing grant eligibility requirements, deadlines, and application requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation of grant applications, including narratives, budgets, supporting documentation, and required attachments.
• Maintaining grant tracking systems and project files.
• Coordinating with municipal clients, funding agencies, consultants, and other project partners.
• Assisting with grant administration, including reimbursement requests, financial documentation, progress reports, and other required reporting.
• Conducting research and compiling demographic, economic, financial, and other supporting information.
• Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence, and other client materials.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
