Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is seeking a Budget & Accounts Analyst to monitor and manage grant budgets and operational expenses for the Salt River Police Department. The role involves variance analysis, compiling and presenting monthly grant budget tracking reports, and acting as liaison with the Finance Department.

Under general supervision, the analyst will validate estimates, forecast expenditures, and develop centralized processes for budget management and contract

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Two or more years’ experience with budget reviews and variance analysis.
• Experience with Federal and State grants and grant administration.
• Knowledge of GAAP and governmental financial reporting requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors ongoing department and grant expenses; analyzes variances and prepares budget variance reports.
• Forecasts department grant and operating expenditures in collaboration with police leadership.
• Develops centralized processes for monitoring contract payments and filing contract records.
• Prepares budget and internal expense reports; communicates budget status to Police leadership.
• Reconciles monthly budget reports to the PeopleSoft Financials system and ensures GAAP compliance.
• Supports audits by reviewing documentation and monitoring expenditure activity levels.
