Job summary

Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians seeks a Grants Administrative Analyst to support financial analysis, reporting, and data management within the Grants Department. The role bridges Grants and Accounting, ensuring grant data is accurate and reported in compliance with award budgets and federal requirements.

You will assist with IDC recovery, data entries in the financial system, and preparation of allocation reports, while supporting federal/state grant reporting and audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in financial analysis, accounting support, grants financial management, or related field.
• Working knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 cost principles and federal grant financial requirements preferred.
• Experience with fund accounting software; familiarity with Abila MIP or similar systems a plus.
• Strong analytical and data management skills; ability to reconcile financial records accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial reconciliation of grant award accounts with budgets and 2 CFR Part 200 requirements.
• Prepare and process Abila financial system entries for grant transactions, IDC allocations, and expenditure coding.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts with the Accounting Department; resolve coding discrepancies.
• Support cost recovery tracking, accruals, and allocation reports.
• Generate and distribute monthly grant reports, flag variances or compliance concerns to the Director of Grants Management.
• Coordinate with Accounting to ensure grant award letters and close-out documentation are processed.
